1) Warm the entry.

Swap harsh bulbs for warm LEDs, add a woven mat and a single leafy plant. You’ve bought yourself 10 seconds of “this feels right” before the tour even begins.

2) Texture > clutter.

One nubby throw + one natural fiber rug + one wood accent beats five knickknacks every time. Texture photographs better and calms busy rooms.

3) Lamps change everything.

Overheads flatten a room. Two lamps at eye level create depth and glow. Bonus: lamps hide sins you don’t have time to fix.

4) Curate the kitchen.

One statement board, a clean canister, a single fruit bowl. Remove 90% of counter items for a “magazine” feel without a reno.

5) Mirrors with intent.

A mid-size mirror opposite soft light enlarges and brightens. Avoid mirrors facing clutter or hallways.

6) Bedding that sells.

Crisp white base + one textured throw + two accent pillows. Looks luxe in photos and telegraphs “fresh.”

7) Garden edges + path lights.

On Salt Spring, outside spaces matter. Fresh mulch lines + simple solar path lights = instant curb appeal for well under $150.

*PRO TIP:

If you only do three things, do lighting, textiles, and surfaces. That’s where buyers’ eyes land first in person and online.
